Dust Jacket Attic ( dustjacketattic.blogspot.com ) is such a wonderful place to go to be inspired. This particular photo shoot was done by Roman Leo. The photography is just simply beautiful. The colors and the textures are artfully chosen. I especially like the picture of the girl sitting on the rocks with the wolf below.

For the Love of Jane Eyer

One of my favorite stories is "Jane Eyer" by Charlotte Bronte. Jane is a penniless orphan who overcomes hardships to become the lady of the manor and against all odds find her true love.

While on one of my favorite blogs, Dustjacket Attic ( you can find it on my sidebar ) , I came across a photo shoot called black and white. The date is Nov 5, 2010 and the photographer is Ayten Alpun.

The photo's have a Jane Eyer, Gothic, romantic feel to me. Dark, moody and romantic, there is nothing more beautiful than a pale woman in a black dress.

Medieval Peasant Costume

After seeing the reckoning on netflix, I thought I would pull together a Medieval Peasant Costume from items soon to be listed for sale in my etsy clothing shop. I have used a elastic waist three tier black broomstick cotton skirt.....a denim cotton blouse...a spandex corset with a wide leather belt. The scarf is a vintage 30's shawl and too fancy for a true peasant costume. All in all I think the costume looks passable...not perfect for a Renaissance fair but good enough for Halloween.

French Country Fashion to Drool Over

Atlier des Ours is one of my favorite sites for french fashion to drool over. You can find them on my sidebar. The settings and colors are just beautiful. Since I don't speak french, I think their latest post is featuring their fall fashions. I can picture a chilly fall day. The models hair is slightly windblown, her cheeks pink from the cold.......wearing these lovely fashions as she window shops on an elegant street.
