Happy Birthday Dear Dean !!!

Today is my son "Dean's " 44th Birthday. He is a happily married man with a little boy who looks just like him. Dean was always a sweet child. He made his bed and picked up his toys and in general was the perfect little boy. The time I spent raising my children will always be remembered as the happiest days of my life.

Sleeping With Fido Can Make You Sick

These are my bed buddies, T.J. and Sport, so when I saw the article " Sleeping with Fido can make you sick" I clicked on it. Let me sum it up for you in just a few sentences. If you animal is flea infested you can perhaps contract the black plague. I thought the black plague was in the middle ages?

Dogs fur is a germ magnet....yes and so is the handle on the shopping cart at my local Walmart. But I guess the most logical thing I could say about this study is that I would rather sleep with the dogs I know....Than a human that I know nothing about. I'll be snuggling and sleeping with my Dogs tonight and every night in the future.

The Hail Came

In the early morning hours of January 9th I was awakened by my little dogs moving around and crying. The blackness of the night was split open by a lighting bolt that seemed to have hit above the house. The windows shook as I sat up in bed and for a fleeting moment I thought the bathroom window might break.
I rushed to the back door to call in the cat. He came screaming across the back yard as though begging me not to shut the door before he got there.
We where in the midst of the worst hail storms I have ever seen. The hail soon turned to a very heavy rain. Both the house and grounds were pounded. Later in the morning I was able to take photo of the hail stones, about the size of peas, in the yard.

Baby it's Cold Outside

I took the boys to the groomer last week and had them all trimmed in the "Puppy Cut". However we had a cold snap a few days later and the poor little babies were shivering. I pulled the doggy sweaters down from the top shelf of my bedroom closet and popped them on. Everyone is happy now.

The power of mother nature is awesome. Pray for the many people in Australia who have been affected by these floods. I simply can't imagine watching one of my largest worldly possessions, next to my home, being washed away.

Pepto and the I.B.S. Miracle

After suffering for months with I.B.S. I found myself scouring the Internet for a miracle. Apparently Pepto is a treatment for I.B.S. In desperation I tried it and my I.B.S. was stopped dead in its tracks.

My Doctors appointment is tomorrow and hopefully I will have a solid diagnosis.
After all the pills, all the antibiotics, all the prescription powders ( that have to be mixed with juice and consumed over a three hour period ) all the B.R.A.T. diet and probiotic pills etc., etc. the only thing that helped was an old over the counter pink medicine.
At last I feel safe enough to be able to leave the house for several hours. I no longer have to worry about " a incident " ( not being able to get to a bathroom quickly enough.)
Hopefully 2011 will be a year of my comeback. I feel myself getting better and stronger every day and with the blessings of God perhaps my "perky" will return.
