The Spinybacked Orbweaver....Not for Love of

God knows, I hate having to kill any living thing.....but this very large ugly spider ( The Spinybacked Orbweaver )had to go. She has built a very large web between two trees in my back yard. I mean really the kind you walk into...big. I have sprayed her and her body is still hanging in the web. I must muster my courage to go out and pull her and the web down so I can cut the grass. So sorry for such a gross post.....but my life is not all sunshine and lollypops. Have a great make something beautiful.

For the Love of Strong Men and Tattooed Ladies

My latest set of tarot cards are almost finished. This set uses images of Circus Strong Men and Tattooed Ladies. I am using images of body builders or prizefighters and tattooed woman from the 20's, 30's and perhaps some from the 40's. I know very little about tattoo's except that several years ago I got a tattoo of a hummingbird with honeysuckle vines on the instep of my left foot. The strong men do not look as big as today's bodybuilders and the tattoo's of old are not nearly as artistic as the tattoo's of today.
This set of cards will be for sale at
Have a wonderful day and go make something beautiful.

For the Love of a Osteo Bi-flex Smoothie

MY Doctor suggested the pain in my hip joints might be helped by my taking glucosmine. I hate taking "Horse" pills so when I found Osteo Bi-flex in powder form I thought I might give it a try. I start out with a cup or orange juice...a cup of yogurt....a handful of frozen fruit...two scoops of Osteo Bi-flex and I have two days of a fruit smoothie to enjoy. I simply store the left over in the blender container for the next day in the refrigerator. It tastes great and seems to help a little with the pain. Have a great go make something beautiful.

For The Love of Plant Cuttings

I know you have seen my little collection of head vase's. But...have you seen my collection of old mason jars? I am taking cutting from what few plants survived the winter frost. It gives me great joy to see their tiny white roots suddenly appear in the water. Have a wonderful day ........and go make something beautiful.

New Life for Old Tarot Cards

I originally made these cards in 2004 and sold them to a collector in Europe. I decided to reprint them and added words of understanding to them. The cards can be used by novice tarot cards readers and professional readers alike. They have been retouched and signed by me and then laminated so they will last a lifetime. Now...... go make something beautiful

For the Love of Beautiful Summer Color

The beautiful colors of summer. I don't remember where I snagged these photo's but to me they represent the color of summer. I would love a white painted porch that I could decorate. My patio is open to the elements so it's just the basics. Have a wonderful day. Now go make something beautiful.

For the Love of Summer

What can I say......I love summer. I love going bare foot in the backyard. I love sipping iced tea on the patio. I love seeing my plants grow lush and green. I love eating tomatoes and peppers from my own garden. There is no taste like a fresh, sill warm from the sun, tomato. I worked very long and hard in the yard over the weekend. The sense of pride when I survey my property and knowing that I planted everything with my own hands.......feels good!!
Now go make something beautiful.

New Beautiful Bohemian Gypsy girls handmade tarot cards are for sale in my etsy

I just put this set of handmade tarot cards up for sale on my etsy shop. This is the first time I have made cards on actual tarot card blanks. The back of the cards have a nice blue and black plaid finish. I have laminated the cards since the blanks have a shiny finish and I wanted to make sure the collage elements could easily move against each other. This deck will shuffle very nicely. I used primarily french mignon postcards of beautiful gypsy girls. I think the deck turned out well and I am very proud of it,

For the Love of the Number #8

One night many years ago, I was listening to George Noory on Coast to Coast am. His guest was Glynis McCants "The Numbers Lady". She spoke of the financial power of the number "8". She suggested you write the number 8 on a piece of paper and carry it on your person. You must daily repeat the affirmation...."I pay my bills on time and I always have extra money." Since I make tarot cards it was easy for me to make my own number 8 card. It has been on my person ever since and I always seem to have enough money to make ends meet. My house is paid car is paid for...etc. etc. I believe it is the power of positive thinking. I am going to put these new number 8 cards up for sale in my etsy shop.

For the Love of Halloween

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. I tend to plan well in advance, putting a costume together etc. etc.
I am making some microscope slides for my etsy shop for this Halloween. I love the somewhat "dark" images. The slides have been copper foil wrapped and are patiently waiting for me to solder them.
I am almost finished with my Beautiful Bohemian Gypsy Girl Tarot cards. They should be ready for my etsy shop within the next few days.
Now....go make something beautiful.

For the Love of Fruit

While visiting a-la-parisienne blog I was captivated by the fresh fruit skewers her mom made for the party. They look delicious and easy to make. The pink vase presentation was a stroke of genius.
It has been very hot here in South Texas and fresh fruit just seems so perfect and so cool. I am blending fruit with yogurt and Osteo Bi-Flex nutra joint drink mix as a perfect start the day smoothy. MY doctor said it might help my arthritic joints to take some glucosamine.
