Waiting For The Fall Season

It is no secret that my favorite character in "The Walking Dead" is Daryl. His character was not in the original script but when he auditioned, the producers and writers saw his potential and added him as a character.
This goes to prove once again, the part does not make the actor....It is the actor that makes the part.
Funny thing about netflix....they had the first season of "Spartacus, blood and sand" and now it's gone. I would like to watch that again also. Not much else is going on in my little cottage. I am waiting to see a specialist to find out what is going on with the pain in my shoulders. I had an MRI and xrays done on Thursday.............I had to come home and take a pain pill and lay down after the nurses manipulated my shoulders in order to xray them.
Have a wonderful spring day!! Laraine

Why I Love My Pets

The following is posted very low on my refrigerator door.

Dear Dogs and Cats: The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food... Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort, however... Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm..

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline attendance is not required.

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door:

TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:

(1) They live here. You don't.
(2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture.
(3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
(4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
(1) eat less,
(2) don't ask for money all the time,
(3) are easier to train,
(4) normally come when called,
(5) never ask to drive the car,
(6) don't smoke or drink,
(7) don't want to wear your clothes,
(8) don't have to buy the latest fashions,
(9) don't need a gazillion dollars for college and
(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children

Super Cute French Style Trailer

One of my "MANY" wishes and dreams for the future include a small travel trailer that I can update in the french style. The pictures of the above trailer are from a fellow blogger who's name I forgot to note on the photos.

Can you imagine yourself in this lovely trailer, spending the weekend at the beach or in a forested state park. I would like to park it in my daughter Dara's drive way and spend a few days with her and the girls and still have a quiet retreat.

Have a wonderful day looking forward to the future

Busy........Busy........Busy

I goes without saying....the past few weeks have been very busy. I finally decided to look for a job that would allow me to use my accounting skills but would also allow me to be seated since I cannot stand for more than four hours.

I went on two interviews and on the second interview I was offered the job on the spot. I have signed papers and am waiting for my drug test to come back.

I feel as though a heavy weight has been lifted. My house really needs a new roof and now I will be able to save my paycheck towards that goal.

I will continue to make jewelry and post vintage clothes in my etsy stores.

The job is in Rockpot TX.....a very rich community just up the road. They have several thrift shops that are a treasure trove for vintage clothes.

Needless to say......I am doing the happy, happy, joy, joy dance.

Have a wonderful day !

Sweet Easter Images For Your Artwork

Feel free to use these images for your Easter decorating. The colors are so bright and new.....I think I will print them out and then put holes on each side and string them like an Easter swag.

Have a creative day!
